    Good Day,

The below error message is received when users are trying to confirm a purchase order.

Changes to the document are only allowed in state Draft, because change management is activated.

The solution provided to users is to select CTRL + F5 on the keyboard and that usually restores their last step, enabling them to confirm the purchase order successfully.

We have had a few instances, whereby this does not work.  In order for the user to continue, we suggest, that a new purchase order be created, or request change, cancel delivery remainder on the problem lines, and recreate new lines on the purchase order.

Is there another work around that can be used in order to bypass this error.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi Erica -

I did not find existing bugs in R3 CU12 or later.

If you can consistently repro this issue, you should take a small AX Trace (Tracing exists in the AOT) and then use Trace Parser to read the file.  May need a developer.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamicsax-2012/appuser-itpro/install-the-trace-parser
    https://community.dynamics.com/ax/b/exploremicrosoftdynamicax/posts/microsoft-dynamics-ax-2012-utilities-trace-parser
https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/axinthefield/dynamics-ax-tracing-part-1/ (series created by Tom Stumpf right up here in Fargo).

Some tips to take a good Trace.
    1. Short as possible.  Start the Trace right before the error.  Stop right after the error.
    2. No other users in the environment.  No Batches, integrations, etc. running.
    3. Review the Trace file in the same environment so custom code is fully exposed.

Many sites get some error in LIVE, copy to TEST, and do the Tracing in TEST where they can control everything.  Trace Parser installed in TEST.

    Thanks....Dave
