I'm new to the Quality portion of AX, however, our quality dept does use it on a limited basis.  I've been tasked with finding out the following information.

I'm assuming the questions below are all base functionality.  Where would be a good place to start learning about this?  Any information would be appreciated.  Thanks, Sam

      1. Review base quality module functionality
        1. How do we collect and retain data?
        2. How do we use quality with production?
        3. How can the system queue us on next steps when the part has a quality requirement

AX does this by way of creating quality orders.  You define tests that you want to capture at a routing operation.  The setups are in the inventory and warehouse management set up menu, under quality control.  Tests, Test variables, and Test groups is what you first need to set up.  Then you can set up a quality association which then links it to a routing step for an assembled part.  When the production order is estimated/started a quality order will be set up for each operation that has a quality association.

    Good luck!
