Organization Admin - Units

    Good Afternoon:

    We are working on our upgrade to AX2012 R3 (from AX4.0).  One of the setups that we are reviewing is the Units - specifically the Unit Class field (Organization Admin > Setup > Units > Units).  We have reviewed what we can regarding Standard, Intra and Inter conversion methods.

    The question we have is related to the Unit Class field.  What would the pros/cons be to have all Units set up with a Unit Class of Quantity?  We feel this would accomplish what we need but want to do a little research before we finalize our plans.

    Any suggestions or experience with the set up?

    Any thoughts are appreciated.
