A couple of big AXUGToronto chapter announcements...
First, Corey and I would like to welcome Janice Van Houten to the AXUGToronto chapter leadership team. Janice works at Skjodt-Barrett Foods and managed the AX2012 R2 implementation just over a year ago. Janice brings to the chapter a strong functional ERP background with years of hands-on experience using multiple ERP solutions. She will be able to help us reach out to the functional side of our chapter! Welcome aboard Janice!!
The leadership team is always looking for help. If you would like to get involved, please speak with Corey, Janice or Greg.
Hot on the heels of the hugely successful November AXUG Collaborate Canada meeting, the AXUGToronto chapter will be hosting our next chapter meeting on Thursday, January 12th from 10am to 2pm.
The meeting will be hosted at the Microsoft Canada HQ offices at:
1950 Meadowvale Blvd, Mississauga, ON
With the enthusiasm generated from our last meeting, we have been able to put together 2 excellent topics for presentation and discussion. We are working with MSFT to have a premier field engineer available to help field questions. Space will be limited, so please be sure to register early!
We've seen the glitzy presentations from MSFT about all the wonderful things PowerBI can do, but HSO are PowerBI implementation specialists and have several installations with AX data sources in their portfolio. HSO has agreed to share with us the good, the bad and the ugly details required to implement PowerBI with Dynamics AX. If you and your company are interested in taking AX Business Intelligence to the next level, you'll want to attend this session!
In the afternoon, we will get to the heart of AXUGToronto - users helping users. During this session, we will be hosting a roundtable about costing in AX - what works and where our struggles are with AX the costing implementation. We are going to try a different format for this topic. Corey from Tigercat has volunteered to give a ~15min presentation about how Tigercat has implemented costing. Corey and Janice will facilitate a roundtable of Q&A where members will be helping members! If you have questions about costing in AX, bring them and someone from the chapter will help! We are working with MSFT to have one of their premier field service engineers at the session to add additional insight.
Lunch will be provided. Please register here.
