AXUG/D365 Boston Leadership Changes

Greetings to all of my user group friends.   It seems like an eternity since we last met, it's an understatement that a lot has happened since we were together at Insulet in January.

I wanted to share some news that affects our group directly.  Amanda has taken a new position with Home Market Foods in Norwood.  HMF is a user of Dynamics NAV, so Amanda will no longer be able to co-lead our group.  You may see her again though, as her new employer is evaluating D365 as a possible ERP in the future.  I'm very happy to see Amanda advancing her career, sad to not be able to work with her.  She has given permission to share her contact info with anyone who would like to stay in touch.  Her personal email is [email protected], or you can connect with her on LinkedIn.

I had already mentioned to this group at our last meeting that I will also be stepping down as my company has chosen not to move to D365 but will instead focus on another ERP system.  In order to keep our chapter going we will need new volunteers to step into the leadership position.

This is a very rewarding role that does not take a lot of time and has some great benefits.  Dynamics Communities provides a lot of support, and I have never in my four years as chapter leader had trouble finding speakers.  When two or more members share the load the job is even easier.

Our next chapter meeting is tentatively scheduled for July, though the coming weeks will tell if and how this will happen.  I can stay on for one more meeting to facilitate the transition to new chapter leadership, but ultimately will need to pass the responsibility to AX/D365 users who are more vested in the software.

I took the role when Mark and Barbara stepped down because I got so much out of this group and couldn't stand the thought of losing the networking and educational opportunities, I'm sure that you all feel the same way.  Please contact me if you have any interest in coming on board as a chapter leader, or for more information in case you are on the fence.

Please stay healthy and safe, I hope to see you all soon (preferably NOT in a Zoom meeting!).
