Mission
The mission of the AXUG Partner Council is to support the Dynamics AX User Group (AXUG) in its endeavors, including education, professional development, collaboration, networking, knowledge sharing, and advocacy among the Dynamics AX eco-system consisting of Users, AX Partners, and Microsoft. Additionally, the Council will provide a forum for AXUG Partner communication and fostering of the eco-system, including an efficient, collective voice to Microsoft.
Background
At the AXUG Summit of 2007 in Orlando, Florida, a group of AXUG Partners met to explore the concept of creating a more formal gathering of AXUG Partners. The group decided that there could be tangible benefits to a group with a common purpose for organizing and meeting periodically. The benefits included:
- More organized support of the User Community
- Greater responsiveness to the customer base
- Stronger collaboration among AX Partners, even across competitors
From this, it was decided to form a charter, create a loosely organized group, and meet periodically to address issues together.
The Charter was expanded and eventually confirmed at an AXUG Partner Council meeting at WPC in Houston on July 8, 2008.
