Globe Software develops and supports Atlas, personal business intelligence software. Atlas delivers real-time integration between the Microsoft Dynamics AX enterprise solution and Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
"AX Data with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word"
Microsoft applications are the most commonly used software tools in businesses. The Microsoft Office system is used daily on nearly every computer, and Microsoft Dynamics AX is being utilized in several small to medium-sized corporations. Both of these software systems most important purpose is to collect, analyze and report business data to personnel so they can make efficient and accurate decisions for the company operations.
Microsoft Excel is the most commonly used report writer. This desktop application allows users to create self-service reporting using an intuitive toolset that is simple to use – a “Personal Business Intelligence” tool. The downside of Microsoft Excel and the rest of Microsoft Office is that the data is usually input or imported manually; then this information starts aging, requiring the user to start the process over when the report is needed again. Atlas 4.0 connects Microsoft Dynamics AX with Microsoft Office allowing business data to be reviewed, manipulated and monitored within the user-friendly Microsoft Office system. This data can remain real-time, secure and accurate because the business logic and permissions of Dynamics AX are utilized. Several business scenario examples with AX data can be demonstrated using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
