If you are attending the Symposium and/or Workshops in conjunction with AXUG Summit 2011, we are excited to announce that we are experiencing record breaking registrations for AXUG Summit 2011. While exciting, this has brought about a sell-out situation at the primary conference hotel, Caesars Palace, starting Thursday, November 10th.
Overflow hotels have been blocked* at nearby hotels: Flamingo and Imperial Palace.
AT THIS MOMENT THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 10TH AND FRIDAY NOVEMBER 11TH ARE SOLD OUT. Depending on your travel itinerary while at AXUG Summit, you may choose to spend all or part of your stay at Caesars Palace, or all or part of your stay at an overflow hotel.
If you hotel stay will conclude with a check out on the last day of AXUG Summit (Thursday, November 10th), Caesars should accommodate your registration until the block fills up.
If you are planning on staying through the night of Thursday, November 10th, checking out Friday or later, here are the options that you have regarding your hotel stay:
Option 1: You can book your hotel room at Caesars up to a Thursday, November 10th check out. From there, you will need to book the remainder of your stay at one of our overflow hotel options.
Option 2: You can book your entire hotel stay at one of our two overflow hotel options.
The overflow hotel options are The Flamingo or the Imperial Palace.
The Flamingo is just across the street from the AXUG Summit in Caesars Palace and will feature room rates of $179 per night. The Flamingo will be the most comparable to the quality and service of Caesars.
The Imperial Palace is a few blocks from Caesars Palace (but still within walking distance) and will feature room rates of $100 per night. The environment of Imperial Palace is commensurate with a more budget friendly hotel option.

* The AXUG Summit planning committee has made every attempt to secure a block of rooms in the primary conference hotel (Caesar's Palace) as well as overflow hotels (Flamingo and Imperial Palace) at the best possible negotiated rate. Las Vegas, however, enjoys a massive supply and demand of hotels and hotel rooms in the city, creating an opportunistic pricing dynamic on occasion. With this in mind, it is probable that an attendee of AXUG Summit can find a cheaper rate (sometimes even in the same hotel) depending on how much time they are willing to shop around.
In negotiations with the Caesar's family of hotels (including Flamingo and Imperial Palace), the room rate settled upon took into consideration the large block of rooms necessary for our conference, the common space utilized in the conference centers, and the demand during the season. AXUG is required to satisfy the contractual obligation with the hotel in order to hold the conference there. With this in mind, you are encouraged to book your room within the block. However, we understand budget challenges and applaud the prudent shopper and would never want to stand in the way of an individual booking outside the reservation block in order to get the best price possible. After all, AXUG "insists" that members can realize a clear ROI from participation in the group. Saving money on hotel rooms is one of those factors.
