Q. Who are the experts leading the Workshop?
A. Workshop leaders come from Microsoft, Microsoft Partners specializing in AX 2012 Upgrade projects, and Users from early adopter companies who’ve already completed their Dynamics AX 2012 Upgrade.
Q. Do I need to be on the latest version to attend?
A. No. The Workshop content is specifically applicable for those companies wishing to upgrade to AX 2012 from AX 2009 or AX 4.0. Those companies on older versions will also benefit through understanding the processes applicable to the entire upgrade path.
Q. Is it realistic to think that I will go home with a fully completed project plan in the Workplan Workshop?
A. It is possible. The workshop has plenty of lab time and help to complete the plan. It likely, however, that you will need to dig into more details back home in order to complete the plan. Given that, it is best expect that the workplan you return to you company with will cover all the aspects you need, but will require a bit more development as time permits back at your office.
Q. Do I need to bring my Laptop?
A. Yes. These workshops are HANDS-ON experiences. You will be working on developing actual deliverables for your own company's scenarios. You should expect to attach to a wireless network and download tools and templates provided free of charge as a part of your workshop registration.
Q. I am loading software on my laptop?!?
A. Yes. In the case of Workshop I - Building a Business Case, you will be given, free of charge, a software tool that facilitates the input of your company's data to help you build the Business Case. This tool is an Office application that requires Microsoft Office 2007 or greater to run.
Q. Do all companies find that an Upgrade to AX 2012 is justified?
A.No. It is NOT a forgone conclusion that every company in every case will find justification to proceed with an Upgrade project at the conclusion of the ROI Workshop. Should the results indicate that the time is not right for a upgrade project, the model will help the companies point to the most likely places for making business changes in order to realize the benefits anticipated.
